Role Summary
As a Mid-level Geotechnical Engineer at ANS, you will join a high-performing team dedicated to shaping the future of renewable energy and infrastructure projects. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and field-readiness. You will lead subsurface investigations, perform engineering evaluations, and prepare comprehensive technical reports. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in consulting engineering and a strong grasp of geotechnical design principles. You will interface directly with clients and stakeholders, providing critical recommendations for foundation design and excavation support. Key Responsibilities
You will perform maintenance and basic repair tasks:
- Perform geotechnical field investigations and construction observations.
- Conduct technical analyses, including foundation design and support of excavation evaluations.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, summaries, and technical documentation.
- Interface directly with coworkers, clients, and stakeholders to communicate findings.
- Oversee and manage subsurface investigation programs, including soil borings and rock coring.
- Utilize geotechnical software such as gINT, GeoStudio, LPILE, or DeepEx for engineering evaluations.
- Participate in professional development through continuing education and community involvement.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be the ideal candidate, you should meet these standards:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in consulting engineering or a related technical field.
- Strong technical writing skills and experience preparing engineering reports.
- Working knowledge of geotechnical principles and engineering design.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Valid US Driver’s License and a reliable means of transportation.
- Willingness to travel for multiple consecutive days (approximately one week per month).
- Technical licensure track (EIT, GIT, PE, PG, or PMP) is highly preferred.
- Experience within the renewable energy sector is considered a plus.
