Role Summary
The NDT Ultrasonic Inspector Level II role is a critical technical position based in the San Diego/Del Mar area. Key Responsibilities

- Ensure all inspection work is completed safely while meeting the highest corporate quality standards.
- Keep specialized work areas organized and take proper care of all NDT testing equipment and facilities.
- Report any discovered unsafe work conditions or improper practices immediately to the project supervisor.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and focus while working within confined spaces on vessels.
- Work collaboratively with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency on complex ship repair projects.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be the ideal candidate, you should meet these standards:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required for this technical inspection position.
- At a minimum, qualified Level II inspector for VT and UT Shear Wave per NAVSEA Technical Publication 271.
- Must have at least 300+ work time experience hours with a UT shear wave initial training certificate.
- Proven knowledge of welding joint design, joint fit-up requirements, and various welding processes like SMAW.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents including quality manuals and procedure diagrams.
- Physical capacity to stand continuously for long periods and work in confined or high-altitude spaces.
- Regularly able to lift and move up to 50 pounds while performing field inspections on board ships.
- Willingness to travel frequently for work and work more than 40 hours per week as needed.
- Must pass substance abuse testing and be able to wear a respirator to safely perform tasks.
